My Ageing Dogs And I Poem by Phil Soar

My Ageing Dogs And I

Rating: 5.0

I took my dogs out on a walk
If only my dear old dogs could talk
Maybe they'd say 'a step too far
Why can't we go out in the car?

Our limbs are aching just like yours
Please think about our worn out paws
A half an hour is all we need
We do not have that walkies greed

And just like them, my limbs ache too
It's what old life can do to you
So let's sit down, and do not slouch
Me and the dogs on the indoor couch (sofa)
