My Angel Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

My Angel

I thought I saw an Angel, as I lay in my bed,
I felt so low, as worried thoughts, came to my weary head.
I sensed someone was present, I opened my tired eyes,
And there she sat above me, I looked up with surprise!

Angels can appear, in any shape and form,
This girl looked down, with impish smile, I felt so calm and walm.
Was this a message from above, a reassuring sign?
I think I found my answer, when the Doctor said, Your Fine!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I had a few experiences when I fell I fell ill back in 2002. One which is described in my poem Silver Lady. I actually experienced this event while in hospital after surgery.I felt so tired and very worried, trying to get some sleep. I sat up with such a shock! I saw this little girl, sitting on the rail above my bed, gazing down at me and smiling! She was dressed in purple dress and little hat, sort of like a pixie! I really thought I was going mad! Ha! But I'll never forget her face
