My April's Twenty Two Candles Poem by Soumili Karmakar

My April's Twenty Two Candles

Ten numb fingers desiring to feel the warmth of the hot tea cup
Would you pour a bit of you in my dreams, when my weary soul drowses off?
The eclipse sky waits for you to raise your toes,
Frozen ground says,  "oh! Feel the wind on your skin, when it blows".

Of course, the world is my soul;
The thoughts I day-dream in and live within
The one that stares whilst the flower glows.

Under the starlight we see pearls of life
How would I have known you owned the whole vibe!
Alluding the shade of Indigo in the night sky
Celebrating until we count all the stars,
Better late than never start.

Almost slipping but wishing to see you bloom,
Creative heart fixed you,
Without letting you breath in fume.

Moist eyelashes fell in love, when the April gifted a breath nearest to my heart
While lighting twenty two candles straight for each day
I met the moon, my wish was heard.

Caught the door opening by the heavy force of glimpses filled with eyes of old books,
Felt stronger than the storm of every mystery
Fell here recognizing my realm to collide with the divine chemistry.

Streetlights outside my window murmuring about old love;
Sweaters, woolen blankets, footprints are projected in the town
The memories where my soul knitted a scarf
Valuation of wools mingled
Composed before a million evening strolls in the park.
