My Art - Poem by Lee Martz

My art is undefined
It makes those around me wonder why,
It is I take my life so gently
Why I rock my head and why I break my heart

My plastic paintbrush with its keys
My glass and black easel
I paint the words elegantly
I take them straight from my soul

Mental rape of my heart
You took me apart
Yet I do not understand
Why it is I am the lonely man

Broken dreams are foreseen
I will never know this feeling again
Sublimity will never taste sweet
For I shall never sample

These things rip me
These things annihilate
The lines on your face
With my fingers I duly trace
