My Baby Girl Poem by suja nair

My Baby Girl

When you were born, my little baby,
you were the most wonderful thing I had.....
As days went by you started growing,
and every step you kept towards growth
was a challenge to me.....
The first time I saw you stand on your feet,
was the start of my dream....
I held your little finger and taught you to walk...
It was the greatest of pleasure, to take you to
school the first day.......
It was with a heavy heart I left you.....
but you were happy just walked away........
joined your friends and there started a new life....
Your schooling days were coming to an end...
You had grown up to be beautiful girl....
I started getting worried about you.......
I would feel proud to walk with you......
and would glare at all those eyes that stared at you.....
Today you have reached at the threshold of your life
where you must chose your path of life......
I had dreams for you my dear.....
but I do not want to push it on you....
I only pray that you take the right path...
and make a success of your life.....
God bless you my child
