My Body Be Thine Shrine Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

My Body Be Thine Shrine

Rating: 5.0

Chants of Buddhist, church bells in me chime,
Mosque and temple prayers, faith agog,
Within me there stands a synagogue.
Voice within does when sing
It shows pain of parting.
My body's an abode
Of this spiritual code,
By whatso name called be thine shrine prime.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
If we learn to listen to the voice within, the voice of conscience, there is no need to go to religious shrines whatever the faith.

Thanks again, but still body is abused in so many ways, and the voice within hardly heard.
