My Christmas Stars Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

My Christmas Stars

Rating: 5.0

And the twinkling lights,
That shone so bright,
So long ago,
in memory now.
I look upon,
those childhood days,
that meant so much,
to me somehow.
Mothers voice,
that is so clear,
Father's smile,
so kind so dear.
Laughter ringing in the air,
Oh how i wish,
I was right there.
But i know,
They're with me now,
Looking down from heaven high.
On Christmas Eve,
I'll search for you,
Amongst the stars,
In midnight sky.

(cont.) PC &/or PH has made it not worth my while to 'continue' re the word kudos. You may know ALL about it OR don't care anyway(s) ! ! bri : )

I give 5 stars for sure. 'Kudos is a direct borrowing from the Greek word κῦδος which means praise. The singular form kudo is actually a back-formation of the word kudos. (cont.)

Kudos **, Jayne, for your usual fine rhyming & the 'heaven high' alliteration. 5 *****s for sure! I hope you get to meet Mom & Dad once more if that is your wish. : )
