My Decision Poem by Jessica Elizondo

My Decision

The rain beats down on me,
harder and harder,
as I walk. My heart in one
hand, yours in the other,
trying to decide on which one
to keep. The rain grows colder
and my feet slosh in the water
as I approch your house. I
knock on the door and hand you
the heat. 'I'm sorry, I just couldn't do it, '
I tell you as your smug smile lands
apon your face, 'I knew you couldn't,
it belongs to me, you kow that' I walk back
to my house, go in my room and
lay on my bed. I don't know if I'll
regret my decsion, maybe I
should go back and exchange it,
then I smile and say 'Atleast
I have his heart too.' And my
decision is final.
