My Despair Poem by Barry Middleton

My Despair

the images of grief abound
the hush of midnight snow

forgotten kisses lost in time
and dreams I used to know

a single flower by a grave
a widow's pain to ease

the final maple leaf of fall
surrenders to the breeze

a shuttered house upon a hill
a trellis dry and bare

the vacant sky and silent day
the tears of my despair

Beautiful images, nice flow and rhyming too. Loved it!
