My Dog Goes To Heaven! ! Poem by Leslie Alexis

Do all dogs go to heaven?
Do they? This is my prayer!
For when I get to my dwelling
I need to see you there!
M y wonderful, loving, best friend,
For years you were there to no end
When humanity had left me aside
And in my shell I would hide
You were always there,
Your lapping, slobbering tongue
Always brought me up
When I felt like hiding underground
And now you are gone..
No, I would not believe it!
When I go home, I will whistle
And you would come to me, right? Right? ! RIGHT? !
God, why did my Tigger have to die?
I love him! I love him! And for him I cry.
Never would there ever be another dog like you
Never another would bring me joy like you
In heaven say hello to Spotty for me
And Samson too... tell them I said hello.
You be good now, and do work with them
Put aside your pride and do it for me,
Be Guardian angels and look out for Tee!
