My Friend, Don't You See The Beauty Of God's Creation Poem by Mohammad Younus

I.

My friend,
Don't you see the beauty of God's creation?
Look at this beauty to know the One-reality!
That's better for you than scripture-reading!
Paste these pics on the wall of your heart!
Then you can gaze at them from time to time;
You will surely get peace and contentment.

II.

Where's the trail to Contentment of heart?
Melodious Music! There's echoing!
It's lake of knowledge is never frozen!
Bright sun of wisdom shines on it all the time!
No Guru can get you there holding your hand!
Your Guru cannot do this job for you!
This is your own city of knowledge and wisdom;
God has made it just for you, so be there!
To acquire divine knowledge and wisdom.

III

Snow-peaked mountain's of pure white snow!
Men who go there and ponder become aware...
...of the natural reservoir of water, God created...
...to sustain our life on the earth;
Thus, I see, an old man, God has made...
...everything for me.

IV

Roaming green pastures of the world by day...
...back to sleep I go at night, to find comfort;
One by one, the seasons of my heart go;
Free of heat and dust, mist and fog, my mind!
Sweet to know there's nothing I need to see...
...save the silence as on a high mountain summit;
And from there to look at God's manifestation.

V

High, high, still high the divine summit peak!
Boundless and gorgeous manifestation to sight!
No one knows I am here to see the beauty...
...but only with the divine eyes;
You too come up on the divine summit peak...
...to have the world view of God's creation.

VI

I write this poem to say:
Only in His wonderful creation, we can see:
There behind the veils of these manifestations...
...there is hidden the face of the creator;
In this poem, I state, without hiding the truth, ...
...that there is only One- reality.
