A wooden casket is now my home,
Where I will lay forever alone,
Glossed to such a perfection,
That the people will be able to see their reflection.
The setting is outside,
Because if was never in me to hide,
Daisies are the cover-art,
Since they always grew around my heart,
The sw33t sound of violins dance on the breeze,
Mixed with the lull of the whispering seas.
A gown that should have been my wedding dress,
Now encases me from front to back,
I look so much lovelier than when breath still left my lips;
Not a strand of stray hair is in the mix.
And my skin looks like it’s been brushed with angel’s dust,
As if I’m trying to win everyone’s trust,
Except no one is there to wish me goodbye,
Not a single person from my past life.
Was it really that hard for anyone to love me?
This wasn’t supposed to be my happy ending.
