My God Poem by Randy McClave

My God

My God said help the needy and the poor
Your god says to mock, ridicule and ignore,
My God says, if they need my shirt, give them my coat
In the Bible it has been wrote.
My God said with difficulty a rich person will enter heaven which is true
My God I will always listen to.

My God talks about forgiveness and fate
Whereas your god talks about judging and hate,
My God says to turn the other cheek
Love, indeed we should always seek.
My God said when you help the misfortunate you helped him too,
My God I always listen to.

My God tells me to help the stranger
Your god instead says treat them all as an evil danger,
My God always told me to give out an helping hand
I was taught to welcome the humbled masses in this land.
My God tells me what I must say and do,
My God I always listen to.
,
My God's name is Jesus
Your gods name is blasphemy, racism, greed and hate and lust,
My God told me to always follow him with love and care
Unto my God I daily speak with in prayer.
My God loves blacks, whites, reds, yellow, me and you,
My God I always listen to.
