My Heart Poem by pringle popper

My Heart

Rating: 4.5

Everything's such a mess,
It doesn't feel right at all,
No matter how careful I climb,
I'm greeted with an almighty fall,
Years and years,
It's taken me to confess,
That I deserve more,
But I settle for less,
My heartbreaks started
At the age of 18,
Dumped by a fool,
Who I thought was the man of my dreams,
Then again at 19,
When my mum just upped and left,
Not a call not a word,
I lost count the times I've wept,
Again at 20,
Abused by a pig,
His disgusting ways,
He made me sick,
Then I turned a corner,
I thought I'd found love,
Fast forward 15years,
I'd finally had enough,
I walked away,
To save myself,
He damaged me bad,
And I lost my health,
He tortured the brain,
Inside my head.
Scared to leave,
I was better off dead,
He knew for a fact,
I couldn't live with the guilt,
Of leaving behind Bobby,
And the relationship we built,
Bobby was 3,
When I became his step mum,
And I love him unconditionally,
Like he's my real son,
And even now,
He still comes round for tea,
He wasn't blind,
He could see,
I was lost and sad and so unhappy,
Age 31,
My world fell apart,
I lost my dog,
And it broke my f*cking heart,
To watch him suffer,
And become so ill,
I hope he knows,
I love him still,
2 months later,
On November 11th 2019,
I collected King Rupert,
Beautifulest Bullie you've ever seen,
My love for Ru,
Is honest and pure,
Takes everything in his stride,
All the struggles with endured,
We lived in dads camper,
Just me and my boy,
I'm so thankful for him,
He fills my heart with joy,
We lived in there a month,
Until I found us a home,
Right on the beach,
And it was all my own,
And then one night,
As I worked in the bar,
A man came in.
And he sang and played guitar,
I watched from afar,
God he had a beautiful face,
Then he told me I looked beautiful,
And my heart picked up it's pace,
I looked in his eyes,
And I knew it right there,
He was 7 years younger,
And I didn't even care,
I knew right then,
That this was love,
I was thankful for my heartaches,
I thanked the lord above,
For gracing me,
With this amazing gift,
I was on cloud nine,
Let my guard down and allowed myself to drift,
We added to our family,
With Winnie the fox red lab,
And I thanked my lucky stars,
Because my life really was fab,
We got a cottage in the country,
With a big garden too,
The the stupid bully ban came in,
And made me feel blue,
Now we have to abide,
By all these stupid rules,
And I hate Rishi Sunak,
For being such a tool,
My guy proposed to me,
Got down on one knee,
And I finally understood,
What it was like to be happy,
Fast forward to this year,
And somethings gone so bad,
My life turned upside down,
I've never been so sad,
My lovely man,
Has left me and gone,
And still I don't know,
What even went wrong,
One week,
Until our wedding day,
And I never even,
Got the chance to say,
How much I adored,
That man of mine,
I wish we stop,
And press rewind,
He took our winnie.
And took his things,
Now I don't get the chance,
To watch him as he sings,
Once again,
I'm broken hearted,
And I'm back to the beginning,
Where my heartbreak started!
