My Heart In Hiding...Ah My Dear! (For Janice) Poem by Dónall Dempsey

My Heart In Hiding...Ah My Dear! (For Janice)

Rating: 5.0

Finally!

Hidden here
amongst the summer’s
long tall grasses

(our carefully camouflaged caresses…kisses)

making love
upon this hillside

as lovers have
as lovers will

before &
beyond us

catching our breath
as fellow ramblers

ramble only
a short distance

from us
(the lovers)

our illicit passion
hidden from their vision

only
only
just.

Your naked breasts
etched against the blue

of this summer’s
perfect perfection

as if a natural
part of a landscape

perfectly tanned
mountains upon an horizon

your excited nipples
piercing the beautiful blue.

I, out of view
beneath the hem
of your skirt

lips
kissing lips

kiss after kiss
after kiss

mounting in passion

you grasping
my tangled curls

as you suppress
a tangled scream

your “Yes...yes...oh
yes! ”

hidden in silence
amongst the hillside’s

long tall summer grasses
(the shimmer of a heat haze)

until
unable

to bear it
no longer

you thrust
your hips

up into
the wide blue yonder

the glistening beauty
of your sex

now appearing
(now disappearing)

from view:
“Shhh...shhh...shhh! ”

I try to hush you
(uselessly)

your “Yes oh yes
yes yes! ”

shattering the silence
of our hidden-ness

hoping nothing
too obscene

was heard or seen

or that passer-bys
passing by
passed by
& thought:

“I thought I thought
I heard a woman

scream in extreme
pleasure? ”

“Maybe...perhaps
my imagination...a little too
much sun! ”

“And yet
it seemed so
real! ”

High above us
a windhover hovers

perfect
in its stillness

your fingers
still grasping

tightly my tight
perfectly coiled curls.

It seems so as if you compose as naturally as you do breath, just natural born poet. I like this: 'High above us a windhover hovers'...
