My Heart Keeps Beating - Poem by Carly Stanley
My heart keeps beating, but I still feel that pain.
You touched the lives of so many people and brought so many smiles to all those young ones, the touch of your hand I will never feel.
Number 37 will never be out on the ice again
Safe I do not feel, knowing that you are not here, nor will u ever be once again.
Those eyes of blue are gone forever, the determination will never shine through now, not ever.
Inside I feel empty and lonely without you. I
feel you all around me and your memory is so clear in my mind.
An inspiration to me you will always be.
From up above I know you are watching over me, I wish I could see you smile just to know that you are here.
I’d give anything just to spend one day with you.
Then again I know when the day came to an end it would never do.
I would be wishing for more days with you, An angel is what u have become.
