My Life - Poem by Tabitha Hoffman

Locked in a cage
Never to be free
Forced to see things
That should never been seen

Im selling my soul
Giving away my life
The need to feel whole
Growing stronger by each passing night

Im slowly going insane
I need to get out
They keep saying my name
Keep reminding me about
The things I did to get myself here
And how I'll never get out

With each touch and caress
I dig my grave deeper
With each gasp and whimper
I give away my laughter

I cant believe I did this to myself
How could I be so blind?
I cant believe I gave it to them,
My soul, My heart... My life.
