My Love For Thee
My love for thee is unwilling to bend
For my mind has lost its control
My heart will not listen
To logic or reason
Unless comforted by your words
Your wise thoughts confound my mind
Yet my heart listens intently
Your affectionate ways
Though merely friendship
Cause so much emotion in me
I cannot describe
Yet another man holds your heart
So in the shadows I stay
We are but only friends
