I liked you the first time i saw you.
I liked you more the first time we hugged.
I fell in love the frst time we kissed.
My heart melted when you said 'I love you.'
I almost died when you asked me to marry you.
Now I stand here watching them lay you in the ground.
I dont cry and the people are staring. I look at them with a smile and say 'I do not weep for he knows that i loved him so, I do not weep for I know I will see him again.'
For when I see you again I know that....
I will like you when i see you.
I will like you even more when we hug.
I will fall in love when we kiss.
And you will make my heart melt when you say 'I Love You and I Have Missed You So Much.'
As your mother I am obligated to say this is a wonderful poem and I'm very proud of you. But as an outsider looking in and reading this poem, I am obligated to myself to give you my heartfelt opinion. I find this poem to be truly remarkable. Very well written and one I know comes from deep within your heart. This poem will be read by people who will touch their hearts afterwards and sign a feeling of contentment. Well done Ms. Riddle. :)
I agree with you........we don't have to cry, they know and that's all that matters. This was very powerful Amanda. Great poem. Sincerely, Mary
