Our souls, yet to have encountered, but I know you see it
I often wonder what goes through your mind on your most sleepless nights
To all the gifts in this world, the greatest are the stars tonight, that draw our future
Apart, at this night spent with melancholy. You are my comfort
My melancholy. You feel it, you see it
As I sit below the dark skyline, illuminated - I wear the moonlight like a silk vail
My mind writing these words I feel inside me. I know you feel it, please feel it
Let my pain be your guide, my tears be your trail, find me
I'm begging, hopeless and worn. My heart torn and thrown beside this road
Emptiness fills my eyes like constellations in the sky, my soul lost in each mystery dot
Silence, not a sound but the trees. A cureless disaster to embark
I need not. Like I need you. My peace, my destiny
Stargazzing, I look up and mediate to my mysterious fate
There has to be a time, perhaps an experience alike. Where you lay and ponder
I, your mystery. I know you felt this. My promise, your answer, our unborn
We will end up together, looking up at what was once written by the stars this night
In your arms I could die, I crave you like no other, My everything, my flame
Who needs the moon, when I have you.
My moon
Well articulated and nicely brought forth with clarity of thought and mind. Very heartfelt. Thanks for sharing Monique.
Thank you so much for your comment. It came to me at 4am, I had to write it. A lot of emotions at the time
You have a lot of promise. This poem is full of emotion. A few minor spelling and grammar errors, but very good nevertheless. Welcome to Poem Hunter!
Thank you so much, that means alot. I really wrote it out of a spur of the moment type of thing. I was deep in emotion.
It’s looked you are new here, but I can assure you go miles with your writing.
