My Night With Cinderella Poem by Justin Tanabe

My Night With Cinderella

Rating: 5.0

I remember when I met Cinderella
at the ball.
She was so beautiful
like a fountain
in an angel’s garden.
And when I held her in my arms
on the dance floor
time stopped
Like the moment of her birth.
when she emerged
from Aphrodite’s womb.
But when the clock chimed at midnight
She suddenly ran away
without explanation.
She disappeared without a trace.
Leaving behind no glass slipper
Only my memories
of that wonderful night
Fifty years later
I still look up at the night sky
for some sign of her.
Hoping we are wishing upon
the same star.

i really enjoyed this poem. i can really connect with it. i feel like i have met my prince but he got away and i just wish upon the stars for his return. and i liked the twist from happy ending to wishing upon stars it makes the story more realistic. much love, shanna
