My Plea Poem by gina layog

My Plea

To the Gods in the heavens, I cry, Pray hard, I try,
Let me stay here tonight, hold me close and tight,
As the hours sleep blissfully by, struck time, it became lame and paralyze,
I wrestle, I extoll, I pleaded and begged uncontrolled,
The Gods demand, a price, in exchanged for this brief estacy,
I conceded desperately, who can blame me?
I see the futility, and grabbed the opportunity,
to have you in the circle of my arms, tonight, one time finallly! ! ! ! !
