My Senses Poem by Ruma Chaudhuri

My Senses

Rating: 5.0

In the colour of my consensus,
emerald is green, ruby is red.
I looked up at the sky,
It lit up everywhere from east to west.
Looking at the rose I said, 'Beautiful'.
It became beautiful.

You might say it is a word of philosophy,
not an adage of any poet.
I would reply that these are all from the depth of truth
so, these are poems.
This is my pride.
Pride, on behalf of the mankind.
Within that pride, God has created
his beautiful creation.

(Being inspired by The Greatest Bengali poet Rabindrana Tagore, I independently translate one part of his poem 'Aami'. Its an incomplete poem. If there is any wrong or mistake please forgive me.)
