My Suffering God - Poem by Michael Romero

Nearly-nearly
GOD Almighty
King of glory,
LORD of love.
Sing the sorrows
of the new world
and forgive the sins
of our forgotten friends.

Cherish-cherish
the way we suffer,
suffer yourself
into my arms.
My arm span’s shortening
out of oblivion,
out of oblivion
my suffering GOD.
