My Unearthly Lover Poem by Marilyn Shepperson

My Unearthly Lover

I dreamt it was a freezing frosty night
Stars and moon shone sharpely bright
I walked alone the mountain path
My every foostep crackled
With the very air knife- edged
No other creature showed its' face
When before me, there appeared
A man, the like, never before seen
'Come with me', he sang, not spake
His voice like silvery bells
We left Earth, hand in hand
Flying up through the air
How strange that I was unafraid
Whilst in this strangers grasp
He was white and silver, cold as ice
Yet to me he seemed warm
We flew past the stars and moon
Made love upon some planet
Love such as I have never known
Nor will ever know again
Yet that once was enough
To satisfy me for all time
Before returning to the mountain path
He left me standing there
And disappeared back up into the sky
As a comet, continuing on its' journey.

Nice imagination of flying up through the air with the lover.

As i read this poem, i employed some kind of imagination, :) :) the force of gravity allowing you to move up hand in hand, so honored to have this, thank you for sharing.
