I am a desert island
And I'm wondering if you'll be
The sea that overwhelms me
I am newly risen from the ocean bed
Will you just kiss my sandy shore
But keep your distance instead
Or will you caress and nuture my land
And leave me room to expand
What kind of a sea are you?
