My Velvet Love Poem by Palitha Ranatunge

My Velvet Love

Rating: 5.0

I know in my dreams you adore
my untold love,
My love lorn isolation with tear
-filled eye
You can not see my tear but I thought
you felt.
I wonder when you shyly admit your
velvet love?
I enquired one-hundredth time only
you would respond,
I feared you will flee and hide from
your self,
I counted seconds to gaze at your red
curled hair,
which rolling down over your bosom
lighting with golden rays,
Oh! rose come hither to me even at
a chilled winter.
