My Virginity - Poem by Ramona Thompson

a parody of Bobby Brown's My Prerogative.

This is how I really feel.

Everybody's talking all this shit about it
Why don't they just leave it be?
I don't need practice before
I'm made my decision
It's my virginity

They say I'm icy
I'm really not
I really don't care what they think
It's my virginity
They say I should be naugthy
Just once before I'm wed
I think I'd rather be dead
Then sleep in a loser's bed
Putting out is not part of the deal
Don't need no messy affairs
No fucking misunderstanding
I just want a love that's real
Nobody understands me
They call me cold
Call me a bitch
I really don't know the deal with their nosy behavior
Trying so hard to get to give it up
Won't be their kind of ho
Vow that I'll win this fight

CHORUS

Everybody's talking all this shit about it
Why don't they just let it be?
I don't need practice before
I'm made my decision
It's my virginity
It's my virginity
It's my virginity

It's the way I want my wedding night to be
It's my virginity
I gotta do what I feel
It's my virginity
No one's gonna tell me who to give it to
It's my virginity
Cause what I'm holding on to is just for him

Don't get me wrong
I'm really not so cold
It's just that one night stands and premartials are not my thing
All these strange guys asking
None of them gonna get me to go down
I don't see nothing wrong with not spreading myself around

CHORUS

I'll do what I wanna do
Who I wanna do
It's my virginity
I'll live my life
Love the way that I wanna love
And I'm doing it all just for him
Holding on to my virginity

Tell me, tell me why
You wanna stick your nose
Stick your nose in my life, oh

CHORUS
