Myra, lioness, lived and died
At her home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
She had known time of mothered pride,
Her cubs moving on as cubs do.
With Adelor, her lion king,
Into the new millennium,
More than a decade did their thing,
Until death did part the twosome.
Adelor gone, Myra remained
Until in late twenty fourteen.
She left the Zoo where she had reigned.
Myra, the proud lioness queen.
Myra is now with Adelor,
Forever, together once more.
