Myth Be Love At First Sight Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Myth Be Love At First Sight

Rating: 5.0

Doubtful, love lights up at the first sight,
In one go few might get it all right;
Jane breaks six hearts or more,
Five times Joe seems unsure;
Hard to fly, unfair seems this love-kite!

Love at first sight seems a myth of the romantics. A study reveals: on an average Jane will have her heart broken five times, and is dumped four times before finding Mr Right. An average Joe has the failure rate of six before shooting right for Ms Right. But does it work well in the end? This limerick is not quite sure. It's like flying an unfair kite. One must first find a good kite, and then ensure that it is tied up well.

Great limerick. Courageous are the ones who take a dip again and again! Some are scared or aren’t even given a chance.

Love lights us the first sight. You have brillinat perception and you have expressed this well in this poem through humour. Finding a good kite is important to take flight. An amazing sharing is done here...10

Limericks have acquired the reputation of 'leg-pulling verses'. But they are capable of serious thoughts as well. I often use them for a mix cause. Good to know you liked it.
