Nameless Smiles



I have been touched
by soft smiles from a distance
like when you hear the music
from a favorite song.

I have taken chances
on them that smile at me
and as a yet
I've not been wrong.

I have been touched by love
within those smiles—
the smiles with names
and who that pass me by
and remain nameless.
