Nation's Heroes
I don't understand
why we honor some
and not all heroes.
It's not like the color of their skin
or gender
has made their actions
less heroic.
Therefore, to all of you
that have gone unnoticed
by anyone—at any time,
who's served this Nation
I loudly acknowledge, proclaim,
and salute you all
May God bless you
each and everyone
on behalf of a grateful Nation.
