Nampo Port Poem by Kinsley Lee

Nampo Port

Chong-Suh, Kim

Sending off a guest on the riverside,
The sorrow of farewell sinks, deeply...,
Unable to sing it all along,
Because the melody is poignant and melancholy.
Oh, God! Command the wind
To halt the departing that flag flies.
That evening, on the surface of Dae-dong River,
Yet, too late, the waves arise.
