Nature's blithe spirit whispers through the trees.
Its soft light embellishes rivers and streams.
It flows gently through sweet childhood visions.
It can be glimpsed, but never dwelt upon
For too long, as it so hard to pin down.
It merges with wild birds' melodious sounds.
It drifts on the warm breeze of summer days.
When darkness arrives it ceases to play.
For when childhood dies, its' dance is over.
Pure white innocence is replaced by fear.
Yet still it can be revived by poets,
Lovers and dreamers, who never forget
Its impish power to charm and enchant
Through the seasons: so verdant and vibrant.
A well penned piece...... Truly noble and splendid.....5 stars*****

Your engaging poem Dominic offers me more than a little bit of calm in these dark winter times. A poem that flows and delivers poetry in spades. And that great graphic used, mirrors everything so splendidly written. Many thanks for adding such great poetry class to my late evening.
