Why are they giving 'you' attitude?

'I guess its' because I did not show up,
At the recent party.'

But...
You didn't get an invitation from them.
They did not ask you to attend.

'Not only that...
I was expected to show up AND recite,
Something I had written especially for the affair.'

That's 'tacky', disrespectful...
And showing no regard for you at all.
And they are giving you attitude?
Why?
That makes no sense at all.

'Well...
I've heard it stated,
They are waiting for an apology from me.'

An apology?
From someone not directly invited?
Everyone who planned that 'situation',
Has a mental problem needing to be faced.
