Neighbors Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Neighbors

Neighbors

All sentiments attached
I have searched
The place often
But settled here with imagination of heaven

All people near by
Always friendly and tried
To be helpful
And cordial as an individuals

So many years have passed
And life too has chased
But peace prevails
Life still trails

I have no house of own
The bird is without home in town
The owner has served ultimatum
Make the rent up to maximum

I am not hand to mouth
But still not earning worth
I shall find another one
But this one was nice one

I run gypsy's life
With children and wife
Is still find neighbors so accommodating
Always cordial and relating nicely

Someone said, you are lucky if you have good neighbors but I say if you become a good neighbor, others will follow you...a nice thought provoking poem.
