Nevada Poem by James B. Earley

Nevada

Rating: 5.0

Come along with me
To a place I know
Where tumbleweeds
And sagebrush grow

Where lizards and scorpions
Run around all day
At night the Gila monsters
Come out to play

Flash floods unleashing
A dreadful might
Howling sandstorms
In the dead of night

The place...of romance
It's often called
They're lying dear ones
.......I've seen it all

Imagine....the Creator
An air of great dismay
..A bowed head...'Nevada'..he said
And sadly...........walking away
