Never Had A Love Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Never Had A Love

Never had a love
Like this before,
Always roaring
at my heart's door.

Could wite a sonnet
About the way I feel,
I twist and ponder
Is this love real?

Stumbling blindly
Through its maze,
Love keeps me in a daze.
Yearning, turning upside down

Love keeps pushing me around,
Laughing and smiling in the
Shelter of your arms...
So much happiness sets off an alarm...

Will it last?
Daring to be happy is quite a task,
Is love wearing a crazy mask.
The eternal question...Will it last?
...Will it last?
