The Protector - 6
the dark days come
and the dark days go
never to return.
and do we have
brighter days?
NO! ! !
the dark days
are replaced by
darker ones!
they bang us like
waves in an ocean
one after the other,
hits the sandy coast
and devours it….
nothing remains…
except gloom…….
deepest gloom…..
This is not a poem. Just an insignificant shard of my shattered heart.
Long road to freedom leads from the darkness to light. Keep hope alive.
When we have a heart that has forgotten to keep its beats and mind that has ceased to exist, where do we house hopes?
I remember my past self in this poem, before i learn to reflect on myself, that's how i see my life that time.
I understand, dear poet. Feels good that you have come out of those days. Your resilience is amazing!
Susan Williams is a wonderful poetess and a dear friend to all of us on PH forum. Nice follow through of her poem 'Staring out the window'.
In this life, everything is temporary, as nature demonstrates to us. Night follows day, and seasons like summer, winter, and rains come and go. Similarly, good and bad events also come and go in our lives. Only those who comprehend this reality can remain tranquil and composed.5*****

So many times we are not masters of our feelings and hasve to let the pain come out and be sincere, at least with ourselves. I admire your courage and truthful confession in this brave and painful poem. I find this work very brave and full of painful courage!
We dream, we boast… but in the end, we realise that we are masters of nothing! Thank you, Sandra….
