W-ithout a shadow of a doubt;
E-vening fades into thin air,
N-o reason to worry about.
T-he new year's day is dawning, the old one is nowhere in sight;
Y-ear of the dog is friendly, nations should stop the fight.

E-very fireworks display
I-s a sign of brighter future;
G-leam of hope in the sky
H-as inspired men to venture.
T-he Monday first of January
E-ndorses grace or blessing;
E-xpect the beacon to shine,
N-ew year's day is dawning.
