Next Tear To Fall Poem by David Harris

Too many times my hearts been broken
on my life’s journey through.
Too many times heartaches
have crossed my path.
I think if it happens one more time
that will be that
and I will never recover ever to love again.
I have seen the sunshine
shine out of so many faces
where only the burden of sadness
shines out of mine.
I try to look on the bright side,
but there is never one for me.
I just walk with a stooped head
waiting for the next tear to fall.
