Nicodemus Poem by Gert Strydom

Nicodemus



When they nailed God to the cross
it did have great meaning to Nicodemus
(the Pharisee who knew the scripture)
who in secret visited Jesus at night
that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah
and is truly the Son of God.
Not only this knowledge
but the death of Jesus
jerked at his heart.
