Night Crickets Poem by Chukwuebuka Adebayo

Night Crickets

Rating: 5.0

You will remind me even if I forget,
When we were two night cricket;
I would whisper secrets to your ears
You would peep then laugh to tears;
I was green and you were gem rhomb
And like a finger run upon teeth of comb
We would rub our wings to make a violin,
Sing of love like rockstars every evening;
If legs are passing, you would hold my lip
And quickly would give me a gentle nip;
I used to think of you and the way to get,
To the snowy tree where we used to met
We gave no care whether we were watched
You remember when last we were gushed
By some kids and the vows of our hearts,
To write songs and attend many concerts;
We hoped one day to turn our holes to home,
But as i vowed, sorry i couldn't build you the dome.
