Night Dogs Poem by Phil Soar

Night Dogs

I walk through woods when darkness falls
To give the dogs a walk
They look at me a kind of way
I wish that they could talk
They'd probably ask me why they're out
In the deep and darkening gloom
Instead of being in the warm
Of a welcome homely room
