Night Note 126 - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Oh my sweet love what can I say?
I feel so anxious and upset
in so very many ways
and I just wish I could be sitting here
holding you close and talking
away all these maddening nerves.
Please sweet dear believe that
I am so sorry and just
accept me into your arms.
Sit and snuggle with me for
a few minutes before I finally
get a few things done.
I love you so much and your
comfort is everything I need.
Come sit and snuggle oh my
precious one and help me find some calm.
I'm sorry sweet one that I fell
asleep the whole day through again.
I had so much that I wanted and needed to do
and I feel so awful my dear.
I had shopping and a few other
little things that I feel stressed
over and am anxious about now.
Most of all though I just wanted to be up
so in part I could write for you
and just do many simple
little things like read or
whatever I might come across.
I also still haven't set up the
Christmas tree and that is bugging me.
I'm so very sorry my Kira dear
please forgive me my beautiful one.
I just want to feel your hugs and kisses
as I get myself moving.
I love you dear and miss you so
please come and snuggle for a few
and help give me the strength
to get up and at it all.
Oh my sweet dear a small snuggle
and then first a shower.
Some soothing water flowing over me
to wash away the nerves while
I listen to some soothing music too.
I wish I could just sit under the
waters flow and hold you next to me,
just feel the love of the worlds
most beautiful woman while
my heart and spirit heal.
To just hold you close and feel
relaxations bliss being with my girl
and letting all the anxieties just wash away.
I wish you were here Kira for that
and the rest of the night to
snuggle up and relax.
After that a bit of food at last
and then we'll see from there
right now though dear just a few
more minutes snuggle to pick up strength with me.
I will never leave you this I
will forever promise and I am right there
with you my Angel.
Just feel my arms around you as I
pull you in so very closely
and enjoy this night with me sweet lady
as we go about it always hand in hand
supporting each other in every way
that there is.
I love you Kira and for having
disappointed you I am so sorry,
please grab on so tightly
and just feel your Michael giving all
his love and warmth to you
know that I'll forever stick right by you
as your faithful best friend and true loving man.
