NIGHT OF MY PROPOSAL
A poem by Paul Sebastian

Hurrying sunset bids goodbye
Waving colourful ribbons in the sky
Welcoming the queen of the night

Venus ushers in thousands of stars
As Lady Moon gracefully strides pass
Her countenance radiantly bright

She prepares the night for lovers' fest
In secret garden, she is delightful guest
Dressed in diamond-studded night's gown

The night's heat brings balmy coolness
Night's girded garden, lovers' goodness
Celebrating love that is eternally bound

I confess: To cherish you forever more
There is none other than you, I adore
I can search and never find another you

Tonight, we bear our heart and soul
Lady Moon witnessed what my heart told
Commit myself to be faithful and true

As night's creatures orchestrated
Before her loveliness, I genuflected
I proposed, to be forever her beau
