Nihility Poem by BHARAT REGMI

Nihility

Innocent eyes a snare to my heart, a nightmare that tears me apart,
I wish, you'd never crossed my way or that I'd kept you at bay,
But now, you're forever etched in my mind,
A love, I wish I could leave behind.,

Sadness lingered but not in vain, anger simmered but not in disdain,
Tears fell but not for all to see, a private pain, just for me,
I was broken but not beyond repair, with you my heart was ensnared,
I despise the person you've made me, regretting the choices, that now enslave me.

Eyes closed to my plight all turned away, in solitude, I faced my darkest day,
But you, a beacon of light, reached out your hand & pulled me from the depths of despair's land
Your touch, a warmth that melted the ice, your hold a strength that paid the price,
Of pulling me back from the brink of demise you gave me hope, and new life's skies.

With you, I soared to heights unknown, to a world of beauty I'd never shown,
The dawn's light, you revealed to me, the wonders of the earth, for all to see,
Through rain's tears, you washed away my pain & cooled the fire, that burned within my brain,
You lead me to the snow, to quell my inner blaze, and in summer's warmth, my heart you raised.

But now you're gone, and I am left, In a cold world, bereft
Empty rooms, and empty bed, where once our love, was fed
No hands to hold, no head to rest, On my shoulder, a lonely quest
I walk alone on streets so cold, with no one to match, my steps so old.

Sights are gone, we used to see, feelings are gone, you gave to me
Now all that's left is emptiness, a love now nothingness'
