Nikki Poem by Brooke Luchich

I met this girl a few years ago she was happy and always had something to say,
Never did it cross my mind that she would be my best friend one day.
I’m not sure I could imagine my life without this girl being there,
She’s gotten me through so much and she’s the one who’ll always care.
Not once has she ever judged me even if I’ve made mistakes or lied,
And I know when things get tough she’ll still be standing by my side.
She convinces me there’s a reason to smile until I finally believe its true,
And she never gives up on me even when other people including myself do.
I don’t believe in my life I’ll ever find a friend who is quite like this one,
This girl is about as replaceable as the stars, the moon and the sun.
She made me laugh even in times I thought I would never smile again,
Shared with me all the good times and helped me through all my pain.
So this one goes out to you Nikki for being the best friend that I’ve ever met,
You’ve made my world a better place and that’s something I’ll never forget.
