Nine Nights Of Autumnal Worship Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Nine Nights Of Autumnal Worship

Rating: 5.0

In the Indian month of Ashvina
Staring from the
First day of lunisolar fortnight
All across the country,
Devotes have started praying,
We pray oh dear Nature Goddess Mother,
You are Invincible Goddess!
We chant your name oh Durga Mata!

Oh dear most powerful and merciful,
Most gracious and Supreme Goddess,
Oh mother of remover of all obstacles,
You vanquish the demons and Devil
And you protect sages, deities and
All people and devotees and creatures,
Oh Great Mother of Protection,
Kindly accept our offer of worship!

Whole across the universe,
All people and creatures
They respect and venerate you,
We adore and chant you as,
"Mother Aarya! "
In Great Aryavarta, Barata Barsha,
All of your children pray!

You are all-pervasive Goddess,
In whole of the universe,
You are perceived by creatures,
That is why we chant your name
Oh Goddess Mother, "Ishi, "
You bestow your bless upon us!

You are daughter of the Great Mountain
You are found in every stream and rivers,
In lap of snow you meditate,
Oh Goddess Mother your name is Girija,
Your grace we feel at each moment!

You are most beautiful and
You are auspicious mother of all,
In physique, mentality and
In gestures, postures and attitudes,
That is why oh dear Goddess Mother,
We chant you in name, "Tanishi."
Tree to grass and elephant to amoeba,
All creatures seek your values!

No other goddesses or deities match with you,
You are special and you are our saviour,
Because of your matchless personality,
Oh mother, we call you in name, "Chandi."
Kolkata to Cuttack and Kozhikode to Kotdwar
Kanyakumari to Karakoram and from
Kutch to Kakinada and Kanchi,
All of your devotees worship you!

Each Goddess is special and we worship,
But oh mother, you are Supreme Goddess,
Feeling your super qualities and values,
Offering worship in this Autumn,
We call you in name, "Deveshi."
Oh Devi Mata, you accept our oblation!

Your complexion is very dark
As in many galaxies it covers
Through dark matters those absorb light,
Whenever you like, you spark like lightening,
Oh Mother Darkness and Mother Deepness
You are the secret power of creation,
We chant your name as, "Shyama."
Mother, oh dear delightful mother,
In these nine nights we perform oblation,
Kindly you accept each night's worship!

'We pray oh dear Nature Goddess Mother, You are Invincible Goddess! We chant your name oh Durga Mata! ' Glad to know more of Nature Goddess Durga Mata and her different attributes! In Kerala, I don't think this worship is popular! A very poetic and detailed account!

Through this poem I have come to know the different names of the 'Goddesses' and their nine different attributes for which the devotees offer oblations to seek their blessings.
