No Answer

How can one answer the question of a friend
Who realizes there is something going on in your head?
Your demeanor, your actions are different somehow.
Perhaps they have noticed that your light has gone dim.
But what can be said to keep them at bay,
Because the answer is... too crazy to say?
It cannot be shared with a friend whom you really don't know.
This something that's changed your whole way of being.
It's not earthshaking like cancer or death.
It's so out of the blue you know they'll shake their head.
And wonder what's the matter with you?
Are you nuts? Are you crazy?
They can't possibly understand
Because, all in all, neither do you!
